Adventure★★★☆☆
Forgotten Island
Forgotten Island is exactly the kind of family adventure that used to fill school holidays: a map, a storm, a hidden world and a ragtag crew of kids who know more than the adults.
The animation is the star — luminous water and jungle light that make every scene feel like a postcard. The plot hits its beats a touch too predictably, and the villain is sketched rather than drawn.
Still, it's warm, funny and refuses to talk down to its audience. A solid matinee.
