Why we built one feed for every cinema

Cinema chains publish showtimes in completely different ways. Some render them in HTML, some hide them behind booking systems, and a couple can only be read by a real browser. Go Cinema normalises all of it into one data model: film, cinema, date, time and a deep link to book.

Every listing is cached for a day, so the app stays fast and the cinemas' websites don't get hammered. When you open a cinema page, you're usually reading a cached snapshot that refreshed quietly in the background.
